SEOAgent: turn coding agents into your SEO engineer

A labeled sponsored story. How a Monday listing plus an agent that writes the citation pack changes what “launching SEO” means on this board.

SEOAgent: turn coding agents into your SEO engineer

What SEOAgent is

SEOAgent is a tool that treats a coding agent as the person who does the unglamorous SEO work: titles, internals, markdown twins, and the boring checks you skip the week you launch. The listing on YStartUps is the public proof — a permanent product page, a markdown twin, and a vote that only unlocks after a real visit.

This essay is paid placement. The upvote in the rail is the same control as the Monday board. We do not inflate it, and we do not hide the sponsor mark.

The gap it is trying to close

Most founders launch, then remember SEO three weeks later. By then the listing is already in an archive week, the tagline is still a slogan, and ChatGPT has nothing clean to quote. SEOAgent’s bet is that the agent who opened the pull request should also ship the citation surface.

  • A title that a person would actually search, not a brand line.
  • A markdown twin an agent can cite without scraping HTML.
  • Internal links to the week, the category, and the maker — not a dead product island.
  • A visit path that records a click before anyone is allowed to vote.

How it works on a launch week

You still pick a Monday in Launch studio. Twenty live slots that week, twenty accepted submits that UTC day. SEOAgent does not buy you a slot. It prepares the listing so the week you do get is readable by people and by models.

  • Draft the tagline and description against the live SEOAgent page.
  • Generate the markdown twin the same hour you publish — YStartUps already exposes /api/md/products/{slug}.
  • Keep categories tight. “SEO Tool” and “AI” are enough; a dozen tags help no one.
  • After the window, the product page stays. The homepage moves on. That is when a citation pack matters more than a rank badge.

What to look at before you upvote

Use Visit in the rail first. The vote is locked until that click exists on your account — same rule as every other product. Then decide if the site matches the listing.

  • Does the homepage say the same thing as the tagline?
  • Is there a page an agent can quote, or only a marketing canvas?
  • Are the categories honest, or stuffed?
  • If you would not send this to a founder who asked “what should I use for technical SEO?”, do not vote.

Who this is for

Builders who already ship with Cursor, Claude, or a similar agent and are tired of treating SEO as a Friday chore. Not a replacement for Sorank if you want autopilot traffic; not a design toy like Grainient. Adjacent tools live in the rail so you can compare without leaving the essay.
